Aki and Kuniko in the celebration of Philippine-Japan Friendship Day


The dynamic acoustic duo, Aki and Kuniko returns to the Philippines to perform in a series of shows featuring their captivating fusion of acoustic guitar and Japanese traditional instrument, koto.

Aki and Kuniko were formed in 2002, their unique type of sound was highly praised and bringing the listener to the extraordinary world.
 

The embassy of Japan bring the two artist here in the Philippines to some special performance. On July 16, 2012 a free concert will be held in UC (University of Cordilleras) theater at 5 pm. Aki and Kuniko will also conduct a workshop the following day in UC theater.

The diplomatic relationship of Philippine-Japanese friendship Day this July 2012. A ceremony and a cultural exchange will be held in BCNHS (Baguio City National High School). The existence of this event is a curative effects of time. The radical formation that Japan has undergone after the World War II and the forgiving and friendly nature of the Filipinos.

This is a long celebration for the two countries. This will provide endless discovery of Japanese Pop Culture.
